Ametrine Point with Moonstone Copper Bee Pendant | Tinklet Jewelry
This beautiful real bee pendant has a gorgeous Ametrine crystal point embedded into the body and a pear-shaped moonstone. The colors on the stone are subtle, pale violet, and lemon yellow. It has a smoky look to it as well.
Ametrine is a naturally occurring variety of quartz. It is a mixture of amethyst and citrine with zones of purple and yellow or orange. It is said that this stone can help balance and soothe emotions and relieve depression. It stimulated creativity and strengthens concentration allowing you to have clarity.
Moonstone is a gem for intuition, balance, and wishes. It’s said to calm and release stress; it’s also believed to be a powerful stone with several meanings. This one has beautiful flashes of blue depending on how the light kisses it.
The blue carpenter bee is rather large and can be typically found in Southeast Asia. Bees symbolize community, brightness, and personal power. The ancient Druids saw the bee as symbolizing the sun, the Goddess, celebration, and community. Bees are productive and focused on whatever they are doing, not getting sidetracked from their goals.
Blue carpenter bees unlike honey bees tend to live alone, burring into trees to create the perfect nest for themselves. They are large and can be as big as 28mm. Did you know that carpenter bees also make honey? They do but it’s much thicker and denser than the honey we are accustomed to, like peanut butter consistency.
The detail on the wings and body of the bee is incredible, it’s as if the wings have movement and you can see the fine lines and patterns in the wings and the little hair's legs. This is probably the closest you’ll ever come to seeing a bee up close without being afraid of getting stung.
We create our organic pendants via the process of electroforming. It’s a science project that fuses metal onto an object basically creating a thick copper “skin”. This process can take several days to complete.
It’s our tradition to add handmade chains to our pendants. This particular chain is 20 inches long, made of 18-gauge copper wire. Each link is fashioned by hand making it as unique as the pendent itself. The pendant is 3 inches in height and two inches wide from the tip of each wing.
Woodland wonders! This is a beautiful gift for a nature lover or even a beekeeper, it's the perfect totem. This is a one of a kind piece and while we may create another they are never identical.

**While this piece has a thick coating of copper, you should still treat it with care. As with any organic, there may be thin parts that could be broken if bent or crushed. These types of wearable art should be treated like any other piece of fine jewelry. Store in a dry place and avoid moisture whenever possible. If you’d like to slow the aging process down, keep the jewelry in a sealed ziplock.
