You would think that after all these years getting ready for an event like the Roswell Arts Festival would be second nature…but it’s not. It’s a stressful time for us. Trying to make sure we have enough product, new product, old favorites…that’s just the jewelry. Let’s not forget about the display, tents, tablecloths, payment method, cash, supplies and the list goes on.

It never fails, we always seem to forget something even after we do a run through the night before. I can remember a festival we did where we forgot the Square stand…no big deal, use your phone. Ha! Not so much. We had just upgraded to the new iPhone that has that new funny jack and couldn’t connect the Square adapter. It was horrible trying to key in the cards manually. My other half had to go all the way back home to get it.

I guess I say all this to say, prepare. Not only for festivals but life in general. Make a list, check it twice. It’s ok, it’s not old fashion and it helps you stay on your A-game.  So, as I carve out a few minutes to write this simple blog post I’m trying not to stress out. The Roswell Art’s Festival is this weekend and I’m burning the midnight oil.
